Rotating my thrifty Wardrobe
Another week, another thrifty Thursday! It’s probably going to wind up looking like I have tons of clothes….. no, no! I am working towards a “minimalist” lifestyle and trying to get rid of like.. everything. I have gotten rid of trash bags full of clothes and plan to get rid of more. Thrifting is just so fun! So I plan to continue thrifting and rotating my wardrobe. If I find something I really want to keep, then I’ll get rid of something I already have. I’m just so tired of clutter! Also folding, there’s too much of that!

My struggle with flannels
A friend was getting rid of clothes and let me go through them before taking them to the thrift store, so I scored this for free! It totally worked out for me because I NEVER buy flannels. I want flannels! But every time I go looking for one, I’m just not thrilled with the color combos. But I don’t even really have a specific color combo that I know would look good… I don’t know.. I can be very picky with clothes. Well anyways, same thing happened with this flannel. I thought ehhh not sure about the colors, I’ll take that to the thrift store. Before I dropped it off, I was out to dinner and the top buttons on my shirt wouldn’t stay buttoned. So I ran out to the car and threw this top on out of desperation and LOVED the colors on me.
The Flannel
Okay so this flannel is Faded Glory, I think from Walmart originally. From what I can find it was probably around $8 brand new. I couldn’t find many available, but did find a girls size for $12.50 on amazon. Anyways, had it completed it’s journey to the thrift store and been discovered there, I would’ve paid $2. This would be about a 75% discount had I found it for $2. Priceless to me, because it’s the first flannel I’ve loved!
*There seems to be some discoloration in the photo, they are solid black in person! Not sure what happened there! 😀
The Jeans
I was super excited about these jeans. They looked brand new and were only $2! They are Old Navy Mid-Rise Rockstar Ankle Jeans and are regular $44.99. I’m pretty cheap (hence why I enjoy thrifty finds) and I’m just not going to spend a lot on one article of clothing. But $2?! That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout! I’ve worn these at least once a week since I found them. They’re a staple now! Going for $44.99 regularly and getting them for $2 means an almost 96% discount!
The Staples
My staples for this outfit were my H&M Basics white tee, which is only $4.99 brand new! My 5 yr old Charlotte Russe ankle boots, I only paid $20 new. They don’t have anything similar right now, but I did find these adorable boots that are similar on amazon. Way more than I paid though! Lastly, my reversible belt that I wear like all the time and have no idea where I got it or how long ago lol. This one is pretty similar and has super cute buckle details!
Does anyone else stop by a thrift store weekly?! If not, you totally should! Check out some more thrift finds here.
